Terms and Conditions Personal Injury Medicolegal Work

  1. The report would normally be produced, compliant with CPR Part 35, within 6 weeks of examining your client. For more urgent work, a quicker time can be agreed.

  2. You will be sent a copy of your client’s appointment letter.

  3. Your client’s medical records are to be provided at your expense prior to the appointment.

  4. Fees are based upon an hourly rate of £350, to include examination, perusal of medical records and preparation of the report. A typical report, without extensive notes and records, would be charged at £700.

  5. If your client cancels the appointment giving less than 48 hours notice, or fails to attend, a cancellation fee of £125 will be charged.

  6. The fee to appear as an expert witness in Court will be £1000 per half day, plus any expenses incurred for travelling or overnight accommodation. The fee for preparation for Court would normally be in the range £500 - £750.

  7. If, such attendance is cancelled on less than 2 weeks notice, 50% of the fees for the whole of the allotted time will be payable. If less than 7 days notice then the whole fee for the allotted time will be payable.

  8. The fee for attending a case conference will be £350 per hour inclusive of traveling to and from the conference.

  9. The fees are not subject to assessment and are not dependent upon the successful outcome of the case.

    10. Fee notes are payable within 28 days of invoice irrespective of how the case is funded, unless there has     been prior written agreement with you

  1. The report would normally be produced, compliant with CPR Part 35, within 6 weeks of examining your client. For more urgent work, a quicker time can be agreed.

  2. Your client’s medical records are to be provided at your expense prior to the appointment.

  3. Fees are based upon an hourly rate of £350, to include perusal of medical records and preparation of the report including examination, if required. A typical clinical negligence report would be expected to take between 3 and 5 hours work, depending on the amount notes and records to be reviewed.

  4. If an examination is required and your client cancels the appointment giving less than 48 hours notice, or fails to attend, a cancellation fee of £125 will be charged.
